Treatment Services
The center operates an outpatient treatment clinic designed to professionally assess, treat, and promote the recovery of the person whose life is affected by alcohol and drug abuse.
Specific services include:
- Client Education
- Treatment Planning
- Crisis Intervention
- Assessment
- Youth Services
- Individual, Family and Group Counseling
- Referral: If more intensified treatment, or a different type of counseling is needed, referrals will be made to other agencies within the community. -Continued Care: Some referrals are from inpatient medical facilities that trust the agency can help ease that client's transition back into society by securing a proper support system for the client's sobriety.
Prevention Services
A primary focus is on the prevention of alcohol and drug abuse among the youth of our community. Activities create public awareness about dependency problems.
Services include:
- Project Sunshine -- 5th Grade Students
- Students Teaching About Resistance (STAR)
- Students Teaching Others Prevention (STOP)
- Support Groups at Area Schools
- Ohio Teenage Institute (TI)
- Speaker's Bureau
- Films, Slides, Informational Pamphlets
- Red Ribbon Week
- Educational Programs For Area Schools
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is of the upmost importance to all staff. No verbal or written information will be given out without the client's permission.

Intervention Services
The center maintains service areas to "intervene" when alcohol and/or drug abuse contributes to the personal problems of a resident of our community.
These include:
- Non-Residential Alcohol Safety Program (NASP)
- Alcohol Traffic Safety Institute (ATSI)
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Domestic Violence Program
- Drug Screening Analysis
- Breath Alcohol Screening
- Provide assessments and make recommendations on individuals referred from the court.
- Anger Management Programs

- Ohio Department of Human Services (Title XIX Medicaid Funds)

- Drug Free School Funds Fees
The cost of services at Gateway Outreach Center is often covered by health insurance. Fees are based on a sliding fee scale, determined by family size and income. No person seeking help from Gateway Outreach Center will be refused care due to a documented inability to pay.

Mission Statement
The Mission of the Gateway Outreach Center, a private, nonprofit organization, is to provide to residents and organizations of West Central Ohio, quality professional alcohol and drug abuse prevention programs, educational programs, treatment services for individuals and families, drug and alcohol assessment, and counseling for domestic violence.
